Training Runs Presented by OrthoNow Continue This Saturday

April 05, 2012 at 5:18 AM

The 2012 Mountain Goat Training Runs presented by OrthoNow continue this Saturday at The MOST in Armory Square. Over 900 training bands have been sold for the series so far. Week 3 will cover the first 4.5 miles of the Mountain Goat Course and then make a left on Salina Street for the trip back to the MOST for a total of 6.54 miles.

This year we are charging a one-time $5 fee for the training run series. Pay once and train all 6 weeks. With your fee and a signed waiver, you will receive a special wrist band designed for the training runs. You must have the wrist band to participate. Wrist bands will be available before the run this week.

Runners are responsible for their own safety and must

obey all traffic laws. That means stopping at all traffic signals or stop signs and obeying any instruction by Syracuse Police. Runners should not be running more than 2 across, in particular up Onondaga Avenue where two-way traffic is often busy on Saturday.

There will be two water stops with water and energy drinks. The first water stop is at the 1.5 mile mark at Onondaga and Summit and the second stop is at the 4.5 mile mark on Kirk Ave. It will be manned by the young guys and gals of The Good Ole Boys Junior Bassmasters Fishing Club. Please thank them as you go by.

Here is a map of our Week 3 route.

Door open at The MOST at 7:15, instructions are at 7:55 and the run begins at 8.

Don't forget to throw in a dollar for the MOST to thank them for making their facility open for our training runs.

I'm not seeing linky today eihetr and I don't see links on the past Show & Tell Fridays eihetr. This is new, because I've not had this problem in the past. Maybe it's just Mozilla Firefox? Cathy
