Training Runs start this Saturday

The Dunn Tire Mountain Goat Run training runs start this Saturday at the MOST in Armory Square.

The training runs are a great way to get ready to tackle the 10 Mile Mountain Goat course and also have a great time with friends. The training runs have turned into quite the social affair, which includes fun running and then coffee and snacks at nearby Armory Square hot spots like Freedom of Espresso and Café Kubal.

The first week will feature a 5.75 mile course, with one major climb (about .80 miles) and a real nice down-hill; otherwise it is mostly a flat course. Water and energy drinks will be supplied courtesy of the Good Ole Boys Junior Bassmasters.

You can register here for the four-week training series for just $15. Once you register, stop into Fleet Feet Sports on Bridge Street in East Syracuse or in the Marketfair North Plaza on Route 31 in Clay and pick up your training band. All participants must register and have a band.
