Safety & Rules

All participants entering any of the Mountain Goat Races should adequately train to participate in these strenuous athletic activities.

Several fully equipped Rural Metro vehicles will be accessible to the Mountain Goat courses to assist runners or walkers in need. In addition, volunteers and/or police officers at all water stops will be able to call for medical assistance for anyone in need. Runners and walkers need to also look out for each other and to direct those in need to medical assistance.

A clearly marked Medical Tent will be located near the finish line at Clinton Square. Please seek medical attention if you are injured or feeling sick.

Proper hydration is a must if you are planning on participating in the Mountain Goat. Those participating should be sure to consume both water and energy drinks at least 48 hours prior to competing in the year event. There will be at least five water and energy drink stations on the 10 Mile Mountain Goat course. Please be sure to utilize these water stops.

After the race there will be plenty of water and Recovery Drink for you to rehydrate after the race.

All participants must be registered. No baby strollers, pets or music devices with headphones will be allowed.
